![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When Naina finds out about Aman’s plan, he speaks for Rohit even though the latter is fully capable of speaking up for himself. If Aman has decided that Naina and Rohit should be together, it shall happen. It doesn’t matter that Naina is still nursing a broken heart and that she’s just friends with Rohit and doesn’t see him as a potential partner. Aman claims that he’ll make Naina fall in love with Rohit in just six days. He comes up with his 'ingenious' “ chhe din, ladki in” plan. Did he ask Naina what she wants to do with her life? Nope. Source: sourceĪman comes to know that Rohit (Saif Ali Khan) is in love with Naina and so he decides to set up the two. Did anyone ask you Aman? Aman decides to set up Naina with Rohit because he feels like it. Not only does he shame her for wearing spectacles and her clothing style, he also makes it a point to solve her family problems. He calls her chashmish and decides that she’s in desperate need of fun and happiness. But Aman, apart from being an annoying padosi, completely took over Naina and her family’s life. Most people like to have a friendly neighbour with whom they can socialise once in awhile. Aman takes over Naina’s life from the moment he becomes her neighbour. What? Don’t roll your eyes at me, you guys. But then, as I moved into adult life and became woke, I realised that Aman was actually an entitled control freak. For a few years after Kal Ho Naa Ho’s release, I couldn’t come to terms with Aman’s death and his incomplete love story. The film was too much for my teenage heart. I almost had a breakdown watching Aman lie on a hospital bed, breathing his last. I shed copious tears when Aman ( Shah Rukh Khan) broke Naina’s (Preity Zinta) heart because he was terminally-ill and his days were numbered. I’ve watched Kal Ho Naa Ho several times since it first released on this day, in 2003.
